Totally P!$$&), Mckenzie Hide Paste

    I had heard from so many about how great it was for earliners, so I tired. After doing all the work, the ears looked like crap. Drumming, slipping all over. I ripped the ears apart and went back to magic smooth. I learned from others over the past few years about punching small holes in the liners to aid in the glue holding ears even better. Had always worked great, never a issue. Thought I may save a bit? Using the hide paste in side the ears. Wrong! Guys it sucked wind big time. What a mess. Any others have a thought.

    Personally, I would never use hide paste with ear liners. Iwould use a 5 minute 2 part epoxy.

    Never had a problem with buckeye supreme ; or now Pro-1 on ear liners .

    I agree Pro-1 has been trouble free for me with liners correctly sized. Just personal preference but I desire having the option to tweak things throughout the drying process.

    Remove the cartilage, ear liners ... with Pro-1 hide paste.

    PRO-1 sometimes, but mostly Ear-Magic 5 minute epoxy, it's tough to beat.

    Correct fit is the biggest thing.
    I have used Buckeye Supreme , Bryans Supreme, Pro 1 and SW 555. I have no issues with any of these glues.

    I guess I just don't understand the desire to use a glue on the ears that dries slowly. I can't see making adjustments to the ears other than the butts and position which can still be done when epoxies are used. If you are having to make adjustments to the ear itself through the drying process, then that is likely because the glue is allowing the skin to move around. When I mount a deer I want to minimize the baby sitting process during the drying process. My adjustments are usually limited to minor stuff on the nose and eyes for a day or two and that's it. I rarely touch the ears.
