You can see the left wing is droopy from lack of bone. The breast looks largely out of proportion and the center of body to center of neck shifts instead of a nice flow with it also being too long and skinny with lack of proper build up and neck to head attachment.

Still not the worse mount ive seen but not what was expected by the customer.

Only reason I remounted this bird is because it was fresh from being mounted, can't imagine how big of a headache it would be to remount an old one.

And yes there is a plan for a black duck and possibly a mallard going behind this bird that I will be mounting.

Oh yeah and Brooke to go back to prices that were mentioned, this particular bird runs I believe $300-$350 by the first taxidermist that mounted him.
So your prices are very reasonable

I believe the person was training someone and had the student mount it, I have seen his mounts and was surprised how this one looked compared to ones done a couple years ago for other people.

One of my pieces I took to the Iowa show this past weekend while it was still in progress.
Thanks to Rich, finfeathr, for the bird. It only took me two years to mount it but that's how personal pieces go!

A wigeon and a mottled that turned out pretty good for having to rebuild wings on both!
