Looking For A 10.8 Spotted Bass Replica

    I've looked a little with no luck for a big Spot Bass replica blank ... Really like Lake County but don't see a 10.8 Spot ... Anybody make one around this size? My buddy caught this 10.8 at Bullards Bar Lake in No Cal last yr , didn't measure it just got the weight and a couple pics then threw her back .. It's a hog that needs to be on his wall ...only 3 oz off the World Record .... Crazy big Spot ... Thanks for the help

    Wow, That thing is a chunk. Wonder if you could use a smallmouth head and a largemouth body? Gust a thought.

    Yeah , she's a hog dang near the world record ... kinda cool markings too .... Great idea , wonder if one of the suppliers could do something like that for me .... I'm a bird Taxidermist .... So I've got no idea how its done.... But I'm sure I could figure it out ....

    Thanks , I told my buddy we wouldn't find one that big in a replica yet .. He already has a 9.6 Spot skin mount .... Kinda suprised nobody made a replica of the world record 11.2 Spot caught at Bullards a few yrs back ....

    Unfortunately there isn't a big selection of spotted bass replicas out there . I have used a small mouth replica before and shaped the fins more like a spots fins . That's for commercial ofcourse worked great. Just dont know who has a smallmouth that size either.

    What's the difference between a big spot and largemouth

    Mandible is same as small mouth
    Scales are smAller than large mouth
    Spot pattern is continuous in most cases
    Teeth are different
    Nice fish to paint
    Use reference ..... period .....
