Since being on this sight and getting my feet wet in taxidermy with some close friends that are taxidermists I've learned to appreciate good quality work and the hours/labor that goes into mounting a white tail buck. With that said I will pay more for a quality mount. As a bow hunter we spends lots of money on hunting equipment plus the time in the stand. What is an extra $100-$250 for a quality mount?

Ain’t that something TRIPLE J TAXIDERY has deleted all of his comments, guess he couldn’t handle the truth , and didn’t want to learn about business. I ask him to post a pic of his 5 1/2 hour deer head , guess he isn’t to proud of his own work.

Commercial work is the product you put out for all your clients, the same for all , my garuntee is I will take any of my clients mounts to the state competition and put a first , second or 3rd place ribbon on it in the masters division. I use to do what i called a commercial mount and then I did a competition mount and charged more for that , I found I got better at what I was doing the more I did it , and had a hard time going back and doing a less then top of the line mount that I could put out . When I stood back and looked at the 2 different mounts I wasn’t happy with the cheaper mount and just decided to do all my mounts the same and charge for it . I lost a few customers at first but got new clients when the seen my work . So back to what is a commercial mount , all of our commercial mounts are different , and at different standards but is our mount that we give our clients, using the same bells and whistles on each client the same . If I do it to one of my clients mounts I do it to them all . That’s my standards of a commercial mount and charge $825 for them .

Very nice work ! That's a $900.00 or more mount any day of the week even if you got all the supplies for free and only have a hour and a half into it ! More power to you .

I believe if everyone had a 4 month long deer season. Did 200 or more deer heads. ever year. You find a way to speed uo or fall your ass wayyyyyyyyyy behind.

5 1)2 hours to get to this point so I guess when all said and done I have 6 to7 hours into an average deer head. I charge more than many but less than some. I go up every year. IMG_20190930_121326.jpg

As I’m not calling you a lier in any way so when I say I’d like to see you do it , I’m really meaning I’d like to see to do it , maybe I could learn something. Some of the things in your break down I say dang that’s fast , but possible for me to do but others I’m thinking how in the hell can he do that that fast . One thing in particular is the 20 mins to skin and cut rack out and clean meat off skull plate , I do very short incisions and most the time I have to finish skinning the neck out before I ever think bout skinning head out ,and that’s 10 min , the skinning part takes me 20 min then cutting rack out and cleaning that skull plate up takes me 15 . So again I’d love to see you do it , to learne how to get faster

  18. my door is open! come on! skinning, turning fleshing, I contribute to years in a high volume meat market. knife in my hands 8 hours a day 5 days a week. And my set up to do so.
seriously my wife is almost as fast at that as me. hers is about 30. min.
I may be spoiled , but all most all my deer are cut off at the back of the head. These folks are hungrey. lol
The few that arent thats, what the winch and gator hooks are for. Maybe at best 10 min extra if I have to do that.
No offence taken at all with your comments. Twice I had to different shops thought i was full of chit on turnning and fleshing time. Untill they come to watch.
I do not have a problem at all videoing. the skinning process when one comes in. Mine is short y also.
believe me or not but ive gotten. a little slower as ive aged. 57 is playing hell on my back on fleshing machine.
