I have a couple game heads I would like to have tanned. Shipping distance really isn't a concern...I would like to send them to a reputable tannery with a noble history. I would be curious if 1) tanneries will only do a couple capes, and 2) your recommendation for the best tannery available.

I have experience with fish but would like to branch out and try a couple big game mounts.

The Old Barn Tannery in Iowa has a really good website with details on their service. Does anyone have any experience with them?

I'm in Mass and I ship to Wildlife Gallery. They are happy to do just a few hides in an order. Hides come back nice though I normally have them do a dry tan.

There is a pretty good place in Denver, Rocky Mountain tannery, over in commerce city. I haven’t used them for a game head mount yet, but I got some nice calf skins back.
