Bighorn Sheep Life Sized Skin

    For sale Colorado bighorn sheep ls skin. Skin is in fantastic shape. It is dorsal cut with booted legs. The skin was frozen the same day it was harvested. Very small 30 caliber entrance hole behind front shoulder. I had the skin sold a couple months ago, however, the taxidermist's client decided not to mount the cape. The temperatures are cooling down well for shipping and I would like to get it out of my freezer. I am asking $3,100. 2019ram.jpg

    I'm still trying to sell this super nice bighorn skin. I'm willing to negotiate the price. I would really like to sell it to someone that can use it while it is super fresh.

    I still have the bighorn skin for sale. I would really like to get it to someone that can use it while it is fresh. Im willing to drop the price a little.

    HMMM Mid August HAIR , from $3500 to 3100- price drop a little needs to be more then JUST LITTLE.. get real - medium hair sheep dorsal cut -- Max price on this ram is 1800 , you asking double .,,, and not many want to deal with DORSAL CUT early ram -

    Dorsal is the best way to skin a ram ! Easy to test fit and sew. These guys want you to drop your price so they can buy it cheap then tan It and turn around and sell for what you're asking or more. August hair is easy to hide stitching if dorsal correctly. Relief cuts only to all 4 knees.. Nice ram !!!

    DEAR MR: TRAVIS BOYD,, why dont you then spring 3100 for it,, since you know so much and have the $$ to spend !
    We here in MONTANA/WY buy WY rams from Indian reservation for 1700 to 2000 with nice long winter hair - or even August rams for 1700 ,,-- given the August hair is nice - but much easier to hide it with ventral stitch,

    Been doing this for 40 fricking years, - never PAID 3100 for a dam sheep skin and NEVER WILL - but since you have the BANK ROLL ,, GO FOR IT !

    Not true. Frankly, I am not in the market to flip skins. I'm building my repertoire to open my own business. I am not rich, and I did not speak directly in interest of buying. This is public forum and people are allowed to have opinions. If a season taxidermist says it is over-priced, then it probably is. Just saying.

    Look you're discouraging this mans sale which is unprofessional.you my never have paid 3100 but you sure as hell would sell one for 3100. Ask any good sheep taxidermist Zimmerman wildlife / Dewey wildlife how they prefer a North America wild sheep to be skinned .. I've work with and learned from Marcus and Ken at Zimmerman wild life and the prefer all North American wild sheep to be skinned dorsal. And yes I paid 3100 for a bighorn sold the mount to a museum. Not in need of a bighorn at this time but could use a competition quality dall sheep lifesize for 1200 do you have one available?

    I did a search prior to figuring out a price for my skin. Every LS bighorn skin I found on this websites classified section the last few years has been in the $2800 to $3,200 range. I sold my sons bighorn a couple years ago for a little over $3000 and this skin is just as good. The hair on the back where it is dorsally cut is actually pretty long. I can pretty much guaranteed there will be no problem hiding the dorsal cut if sewn properly.

    I really believe an August skin such as this one will make an even more impressive mount than longer haired skin since it will show more detail in the face and elsewhere. Similar to an early season whitetail or elk is super attractive by showing the detail of a prime manican.

    I'm aware that bighorn capes and skins are often difficult to find. Most of the bighorn head mount capes I've seen are very expensive. In fact, I have never seen a LS bighorn cape for sale in the $1700 to $2000 range but have seen bighorn head mount capes for sale at that price.

    With that said I have wondered if several guys have tried to sabatoge this post to get me to drop my price. All I know is my ram and cape are gorgeous and will make the owner an amazing mount!
