I'm looking for any tips on how to precisely and symmetrically attach turkey wings to a panel. I sandwiched the fan base between two pieces of wood with hot glue and one screw that would allow for fine tune rotation. I used hot glue and screws with cardboard on the back to keep the wings mostly flat and secured to the lower panel. I will put an eyelet screw off the base of the top panel for the beard.
To the untrained eye it looks nice but professionals will definitely see the wings are off center.
Do off-the-shelf mounting kits solve this issue? I used scrap wood.

I think you are the only one who will notice it. It’s not the easiest thing to get exact.

Take this with a grain of salt, not a taxidermist and just an amateur. The only reason I'm chiming in is lack of response from others who probably know better. I remove the humerus bone and cut tendons when removing the meat from the wings. Basically the areas opened up and worked on in the photo below. This will allow the wing to be pinned out and positioned flatter for display and easier to work with when drying. Keep in mind this is meant for a wall hanging, not a life like pose that the real taxidermists here make such beauty of. After the normal wash/rinse several times, drying etc. I pin these out, mark references (Leading primary, secondary etc. along the wing edge and take measurements. I'll then check these often and adjust things every day or so the first couple weeks of the month drying period. I've briefly tried wiring the wings but found it works against the flattening. Am sure there is a better way, just sharing what I've done. Use your imagination on the frame needed, it's not that difficult. Use a flat surface and wedges or folded cardboard to adjust wings so they just kiss the wall. Takes trial and error but works wonderfully when you get the hang of it. The plaque fronting the mount is simply to tie the rough edges together. As far as off the shelf mounts, do a google search of fan wing mounts and judge the quality out there for yourself.

My intent in posting is not to appear I know what I am doing, more so to try to pay back for all the free info I've gleaned off this site for which I am grateful. Happy Mother's day to those that it applies too.

I clean the wing bones and insert a wire. Wings are then carded. After a month or two, they are removed. I attach a short piece of 2x 4 behind the panel, drill holes horizontally through it, and slide the wing wires in. A screw is placed between the last 2 digits into the back of the panel to further secure them
