Just curious if anyone here has seen the video or any thoughts on it. I have thought about getting it but want to see what others who have seen it think about it. I can already mount turkeys but am wondering if it would help me improve on what I already know. Or would you recommend the Harry Whitehead video or Andy Campbell from Taxidermy Training Unlimited? any input will be appreciated.

I personally always watch more then one, each guy will do something different and I learned somethimg with each dvd. I have the one by Danny Owens and Andy Campbell. Both are great

I have it. I went with Mr. Jordan's video because I got to attend a seminar with Mr. Whitehead and watched him do it.

They do mount differently. Mr Whitehead strips the wings to the wrist where Mr. Jordan makes underwing cuts. That's just one difference. Mr. Jordan's is a good video. After I watched it a couple times I had some questions, so I called him. He provides his shop # on the video. He was very helpful. Also, in his video he uses Liquid Nails, but since has changed to using Loctite Powergrab Tub Surround. Once I used that stuff, I've brought it over to my waterfowl taxidermy too.

To answer your question. Well worth the money and the information is easy to follow and understand.

Thank you both for the replies. Tim Jordan was at the North American Taxidermy Championships in North Carolina in January and I missed the majority of the seminar but caught the tail end. The bird looked awesome. I did have the opportunity to speak with him and he mentioned he uses hide paste on the legs and as you mentioned Loctite Power grab on the rest. I had never heard anyone using hide paste on the legs so I wanted to see his techniques. I will check it out.

Thanks Matt, I have seen some of your birds and if it helps I am definitely getting it. That is what I needed to hear.

I have the Danny Owens but can't find the Damn thing ..... I've mounted a few Turkeys a now and have the basics figured out ... Getting the skin clean is always number one importance .. Makes everything else easier for sure .... Other than that I think these Turkey videos are ridiculously priced compared to others and I won't think of spending a 100.00 for a DVD with info I already know for the most part ... Turkeys just take a lot of time once you know the basics it's like anything else you work on just bigger ... But bottom line with all bird taxidermy ... Starting with a grease free feather fluffed Hyde is key to producing great work ...

I would recommend Taxidermy Training Unlimited DVDs. They are all good from them. Danny Owens does standing and flying. Harry Whitehead does strutting and Andy Campbell does gobbling and, I believe strutting, from a limb.

Tim Jordans video and system are a really good system. Video doesn't get into shingling very much except for back feathers. Overall a good video especially if you're just starting to mount turkeys.
