These are very cool, but you are supposed to combine multiple listings so as not to occupy so much of the first page of postings. Could you please combine these?


(Some people on here are obsessed about SOME rule violation - like THIS ONE of replying to other people's posts - but not other ones. I think the silent majority would prefer all of the rules to be enforced rather than just selective ones.)

Many may or may not agree... it is certainly a legitimate position.

But it is against the rules.

Quite possibly. I encourage you to ask the moderators to change the rules if you don't like them.

 

I think you just have a pet peeve not sure what cause this. But I think it a personal issue you need to deal with. Maybe you just want to chase of sellers which are a very important part of this forum it allow and promotes the education of taxidermy giving experience to new taxidermist. Which is why this forum is here.

 

I'm not sure how you inferred all of that, or why you think that this is about me, but since you asked...

I have been on t.net for over a decade (lost my original password and have just been too lazy to ask the moderators, so I started a new account a while ago), and long for the days when there was much MORE business and education on here. Actually, I am a professor, and really value the discourse on here. I think that y'all do a great job teaching and there are excellent items on here that y'all sell. There used to be more of both items and conversations on here, and I'm not sure how/why that stopped, but I'm definitely NOT trying to quell anything.

Mostly, I post these requests on here (and in the reports to the moderators) because I am tired of the hypocrisy of some sellers on here who complain about one type of rule violation (posting responses to threads) and not about other rule violations (like bumps that occur more frequently than 7 days or people posting several strings of listings rather than combining them).

Personally, I think I would prefer that all of these rules were removed so that MORE conversations and education could happen on here. But I didn't make the rules.

Since you mentioned pet peeves, my biggest peeve about t.net as it is now (not like it was a decade ago) is that people on here are so mean! This site used to be full of really kind and caring people who were trying to help people. Now it is just full of people yapping at each other and making ad hominem attacks - like your accusation that this issue is about me and not the rules.

Yes, it is fair for you to tell me to butt out. And it is more than fair for people to complain that this excellent listing has now been completely hijacked! (I do hope the moderators can delete this conversation.) But if people are going to be aggressive about some rules, then they should stop breaking others. I'd be happy to be among the hypocrites to abide by that if it actually starts to take place.

 

I find it annoying because as a shopper I would like to see a larger variety from a variety of sellers. It isn't fair to the other sellers for one to dominate the first page.

Additionally, it is in the rules right at the top that you're supposed to read before posting.

Just my 2 cents, but I wanted to point out that it isn't just a single person who finds this issue annoying.

I guess you made your point it's a rule. But so is posting on a sell item which is in fairness is my pet peeve. Good luck on changing the rule or enforcement of them. I do have to agree there a high level ego among taxidermist.

I truly dont want you to discourage sellers as it is important to many learning the art of taxidermy.

How does it help your business to insult people? Do you think that makes people want to buy things from you? I literally told you that I think your stuff is cool, but I definitely wouldn't buy from someone that is cheating the rules or treating people on here like you and your cronies do. There is one seller on here who sells exactly the kind of items that I buy regularly and for a great price, but he has been so mean to my students that I would never buy from him. I wonder how many other people on here feel the same way and if people like you and him realize that you are making stupid business decisions?
