My second bird. Definitely not that good. He is still drying. 71915BF5-BA52-49FE-A2BA-23A5AB471D94.jpeg 251FD93D-437D-467F-B1A4-E5660A9E97FC.jpeg

This is a lesser scaup I had mounted 1 month ago. He is actually my first bird mount. I know I should have posted him here earlier, but since a lot of you guys are posting your ducks, might as well post a duck here too other than a pheasant. I know he’s definitely not as good as your guys’ ducks! And his neck looks kinda’ lumpy because I had accidentally pulled to hard on the feathers when mounting him and pulled out like almost a handful of feathers! 09C69C53-85C9-41F7-B84D-A816F35D7092.jpeg 88588F5C-A5D7-4FC5-B7E7-E80E4C1C9DD3.jpeg

Turkeys are a ton of work and I don't get enough to feel confident in doing them. But 4 in a row gave me some experience I needed. This is the 3rd one. A Rio from South Texas.

A client gave me 2 Black Belly tree ducks to mount to compare the two. Why? Because one is a normal color phase and the other is a white phase. Both were so loaded with pinfeathers I gave up on the normal one but got the white phase one mounted. He said he'll get another normal one to mount. Here's the "white" phased one on a temporary mount

And this is how they were dropped in the freezer!!
