Is It Possible To Remount?

    Hello all,

I have a deer that I would like to remount. I had it mounted about 15 years ago by a friend who was just getting started. It looks like crap. I didn't think remounting was possible till I started researching. The form is too small, the ears are drumming and the eyes look bulged.

My question is: can I reuse this hide or should I just order a new hide? I'm leaning towards the ordering of a new hide. The issues that I am having there are that the hides I'm looking at don't really have mannikins to match the size of the hide. Thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

I would use a new hide for sure. There are hides for sale on this site all the time, just keep your eye's open for the one you want-your 15 years in no need to rush!

With hundreds of deer mannikins out there I'm sure you could find one that will fit.

I’m not sure where you’re looking, but personally I don’t think I have ever seen a deer cape for sale (or any cape for that matter) for which I couldn’t find a form for. Do get the cape first and then the form. Eastcoastcapes.com often has cape and form packages for sale.
