First Ever Perch Replica.

    • This is my first replica i’ve painted. (tyler erickson cast)
      I did 3 repaints on skins prior to this. And this is by far my best. Excited to get another one and paint more and get better fin and eye sets. i might make a mold of a 12” i have so i can keep practicing.

    Hey Clew, What scale tipping color did you use on your skin mount perch ? is that a Pale Gold? Bright Gold? Intense Gold? Thanks for any INPUT

    I will use the interference gold at the end of painting
    Lightly
    Interference colors stand out on top of dark colors

    You need to pull over to a frozen flooded field on the side of the road that has no fish, lay one or more of those out on the ice while you pretend to ice fish. Then once a few people start making holes -- and ice fishing around you -- leave and chuckle all the way home.

    A guy near me did something similar with large bluegills caught on lake a few hundred miles north. It was a field that flooded every fall with no fish. I think he had three guys ice fishing before he left. Really pumped them up too. :D
