"i Can't Charge That Much In My Area."

    Just a wake-up call for all you guys who "can't charge that much in (your) area." We're all about to get hit with sticker shock and it could prove devastating. Just name one product that you couldn't work without that isn't tied to petroleum.
    Last week I ordered epoxy from my wholesale guy. He told me that prices were about to skyrocket. He said his epoxy is refined in China. As a result of President Trump's embargo, shipments were delayed. When Biden opened it up, cargo boats that were full of exports left but there was no room for the special "shelf life" items. Demands were so high that companies began air freight. Supplies that had once cost $4000 for a shipment were now running $80-$90,000. The items effected are not only epoxy, but most adhesives or adhesive bases, polymers, plastics, LIQUID FOAM. casting resins and paint particulates. The UPS driver warned me last week that the 30-50% fuel price increases will mean even higher shipping costs. Some of you might want to look for another side job if you haven't mirrored the economy in pricing your work.

    George, Biden just got us a raise to $15.00 a hour ! We cut a fat hog with Biden in office ? No benefits though. Joe hunter has his stimulus check to pay for his taxidermy now. Were all on easy street now! Way to go brother Biden ! Don’ worry the wack job in charge of the military will get Biden to start another war in some $hithole country and there will be jobs, money and bodies everywhere.

    What the hell? UPS jacked up shipping last time as a fuel surcharge but the price never went back down when prices returned to normal and now they are planning another increase. What a bunch of bull$hit!

    We might just have to go back to boiling deer skulls, anchoring to a base with a 2X4, building an armature, and tanning the cape with alum!!! Evidently, we have sold ours souls, and livelihood to China!

    LOL. Personally, I like the "grumpy bastard". Speaks the truth without giving a rats ass whether your feelings are hurt or not. That is any and everyone, not just you personally. Would rather hear an honest word of advice and be prepared whether it happens or not. I don't pay much attention to politics and things like foreign shipping. If someone has an ear to it, and considers it's affect on the industry, sharing is not a bad thing. You can listen or just walk away.

    Brian, if humanity were to need an enema, you'd be the entry point. Your pompous, smug assed responses to anything that doesn't blow roses up your ass isn't of interest. You're one of those jerks who carry your State Fair taxidermy ribbon around to show others how great you are. You haven't figured out that society as a whole laughs at you for playing with dead animals. Not a thing I said was "doom and gloom" if you'd been smart enough to read it. It was pure fact. I retired, I didn't die and with ash holes like you giving your blessings to beginners, my role is to point out you're not the king. And before I forget, take your opinion and shove it in the same place the enema goes.

    You live in flyover country Nobody in the two liberal , progressive , socialist woke coasts or DC give a rats ass about your area. When they target Iowa you guys are toast. At the present time they have bigger states to fry. Your turn will come , keep watching CNN. George will call you when the end is near so you’ll know.

    Ups jacks up prices all the time. 5% across the board last November . Ups employees gets a automatic raise every 6 months. If you look at a break down ups also has a covid surcharge in their fees.

    That's exactly what taxidermy needs , 5% increase every oct first across the board on jobs and a covid surcharge , ( for some bennies unless the wife's job is subsidizing the bennies ) . Automatic COL raise every 6 mths, just to keep up with inflation, (gasoline has gone up a dollar a gallon in 2 months )WHY ?
