How To Attach Bondo Ears?

My first attempt at a shoulder mount and I have an ears question. I am doing the bondo method- I looked around here and online a bunch and I understand there's a difference of opinion on bondo but the person who prepped my raw cape did a pretty thorough job fleshing the ears and I don't trust myself to get the cartilage out without tearing them up. So my question is: once they are bondo-ed, how do they attach to the form? Do I use artificial ear butts designed for ear liners? I have watched so many videos and forums but I can only find descriptions of prepping, not actually attaching them. I could sculpt some ear butts with clay but I would rather use the artificial butts if I can for this first try.

Whether you use clay or artificial butts, what adhesive do you use to attach the ears into the butts?

Appreciate all the help I've gotten from this forum.

Use reference to shape clay ear-butts to size.Remove foam from mannikin where ear attaches to form and fill with clay.Place clay in ears where butt should be.After mounting Deer, line everything up and the clay will hold things in place. If ness. use wire rods to hold things in place as it dries.
