Cleaning And Assembling Skeletons Manuals

Discussion in 'Skulls and Skeletons' started by Gallifonte, Feb 6, 2021.

  1. I do not know if it is appropriate to put this post here, but I think it may be interesting for skeleton fans, and also for wildlife fans in general.
I write manuals for cleaning and assembling skeletons. They have a large number of photographs and are an excellent osteological reference.
There are three that I have published at the moment:
    - Rattlesnakes.
    - Parrots.
    - Chameleons.
And I am currently working in a snakes volume that will be awesome.
I have more information on my website.
BOOKS « Galileo Ramos – Art with Skeletons
    I hope they are useful.

  2. Great books. However there is a translation error in chameleons sample page:
"The language has also been preserved" - tongue, not language :p

I have your Rattlesnake book and it is well done. Maybe I will get the others too. I have a Hyacinth Macaw in the freezer to do sometime.

  5. Thank you very much. I remember, yes.
The quality is improving with the experience in the publications :)
    A hyacinth macaw is great!

Have you ever done an "exploded skull"?

If you are interested in beauchene skulls, there is at least one thread on here about them and making one though it is quite old now. Possibly the pictures that were posted on it still work. It was quite an undertaking.

Cool, thanks. I had a young animal skull with perfect sutures for separating out the bones, and I have a dream, lol. Gotta watch out for those dreams.
