guess some people don’t understand the meaning of “critique free”.

 

A friend died in an accident before I got to his deer. Wanted to do something a little extra for his wife, my take on a New Mexico sunset view of the mountains from his family's ranch.

Funny to me that this mount requires your comment. I attempted to bring the customers vision to life. The mount is now rubbing on a tree n their house but this is why folks like me take long long breaks from fb and taxidermy.net. Bc there are non clean mounts posted on a regular standard mount that you didn’t feel the need to comment on. So once again. I’ll pout into the sunset with my tail between my legs and attempt another good clean mount but in a pose that will satisfy your dreams. Hope all is well. have a good one.

Good Lord, I’m so practiced and accustomed to critiquing mounts In competitions and with students I clearly spaced out the part in Steven Klee’s post above where he clearly pointed out that this category is a critique free thread. I beg your pardon Mr. Klee, mea culpa.

And if you require an apology Mr. Trophy case, you have my apology. All you wanted to do was show your work period. This isn’t a competition and I am not a judge. I’d enjoy seeing some of your best work, the kind you didn’t have to do to satisfy a client.

That was a McK kudu form w/ threaded rod pre-installed. I just bolted it to the pedestal top
