A few from hound doggin this year, wish I was better at keeping track of numbers like Rausch.

 

Compeche Mexico. 4/27/21. The second one was a Jake unfortunately they don’t strut when they come in if you try and use binoculars to look for spurs you run the risk of spooking them even in a heavily brushed in blind this time of year. Earlier in the year they can be seen in grain fields in flocks. Right now they are singled out we were told that we would earn getting a bird now. The other fellas got one one got his the last morning. I came close 4 other times to getting a third one.
You can tell by the jungle behind me that getting a clear shot can be challenging.
