Deer Never Show White In Front Of Both Eyes.

Deer noses are not supposed to look like that either. LOL

 

But it does make a ugly mount lol

 

may be he's excited about what he's eating.

 

Knock off points for eye lashes being at wrong angle also.

Definitely a cool but ugly pic, but I will also say this, they do show white in front when they are snort wheezing and fleaming , lip curling and such

 

Nature would rarely win the best in the world category at the Worlds.

 

Tanglewood, that's because people are not using mother nature as the judge, they all use what the last winner thinks, look at mountain lions , shortening legs and building a head that is twice the size of a real cat, and thats become what you have to do to win. I've seen stuff with the top winning deer also that just isn't right , could go on and on but it wont make a differance , but it is true mother nature can be ugly

 

The mountain lion BS drives me crazy! I have a B&C cat mounted that I’ve had several people think it was a female because of the pictures all over social media. Anyone who has seen a live mountain lion knows they look nothing like that!!

had a judge tell me to use reference pictures. I shown him an exact photo of what I did and he then said you can justify anything with a picture.

 

Now THAT is funny!!! You can’t win for losing...

Thats why you put that picture in envelope and write for judges and put on mount . Had a deer I did that it’s white neck patch was shifted in picture, so I mounted it that way . Judge said I hit you for it and then looked at your picture packet , and then he gave me a bonus point for doing it .

 

This is why I would never considered competing. You could have a photo next to a mount that was done perfectly to match the pic and the judges would ding it because it was not done they way they want it.

 

Imagine how hard it is to win a medal in figure skating. Seen it where a new competitor skates a flawless program and doesnt even place. The one that "paid their dues" falls on ass three times and wins gold. Pure power of politics.
