  6. Congratulations to Brayden Marchand on completion of his Basic Whitetail Course! I do not usually accept anyone under 18 into our program and in the rare cases that I have made an exception (16 years old) it has only been after extensive discussion with the parents and careful consideration. Brayden is the youngest student I have had...he is 14. He was accompanied and assisted by his Dad and his cousin this week. This is not something that is particularly easy for anyone and especially a 14 year old...the attention span of young teenagers is usually not sufficiently developed for something like this. Mom had assured me that Brayden was ahead of his years and this was something he was already doing on his own. I accepted him and I would have to admit that she was right. Like anyone else there were areas where he struggled a little and he knows where he needs to focus his effort when he gets back home...but he held in there as well as any 20, 30 or 40 year old and did a fantastic job on both mounts. I suspect that if he maintains his passion for taxidermy he will go far and do great things! Congratulations Brayden!

  7. Congratulations to Bryan Carden on completion of his Basic Predator Course! This is Bryans 3rd course here since 2017. He has already completed Basic Whitetail and Basic Waterfowl and is a full time Taxidermist in Tallahassee, Florida. Bryan is a dedicated student of wildlife and I suspect that Carden's Taxidermy will be a big footprint in the North Florida Taxidermy scene for many years to come.

  8. Congratulations to Dakota Rowell on completion of his Basic Whitetail Course. Anyone who comes to this course knows that it is a lot of fun but it can also be a tough week. There is a lot of information coming fast. It can be overwhelming for some and you can experience frustration at times as you try to organize the process in your mind...and thats ok. I expect it and can almost always deal with it effectively but I never really saw it with Dakota. I honestly saw nothing but determination, motivation, patience and enthusiasm all week! He will be back in about 3 weeks for his Basic Turkey course and we are looking forward to it!

  11. Congratulations to Dakota Rowell of Valdosta Georgia on completion of his Basic Turkey Course. Skill in any endeavor comes with "perfect practice" and experience but you either have the right mindset or you dont...Dakota has got it. Thats why he is going to be successful. Not simply because of his outstanding work, great sense of humor or dashing good looks...but because he has a positive attitude and he is determined. We are looking forward to watching him build his business and pursue his dream.

She is very active in multiple community improvement initiatives, restores old buildings, quilts, gardens and...yes, now she is adding taxidermy to her list of accomplishments.
