Freezer Alarms

    I’ve had two fail in the last year. Everytime I leave I’m very nervous about them

    I just ordered two of these. $149. Each

    unit goes into freezer and sends signal to WiFi so I’ll get readings on my phone. I will need a WiFi signal booster because where the freezers are located the signal is very weak.

    I've had two freezers go out this summer. I've got an alarm system on three of freezers. With a total of 8, it's a chore to keep an eye on them as needed. One of my freezers that went out had 22 deer and 1 elk cape...all ruined. Both freezers that went out were cold at the top edge, but warm in the bottom.

    I got one of the cheapo ones thats just an auditory alarm on ebay for $12 .... it works when I tested it but my freezer hasnt went out yet.

    fortunately I only have 2 freezers and so im in and out of them alot, if i havent opened one in 2-3 days Im pretty good about popping it open real quick just to check on it

    This the readout I get from two sensors. I had to get a WiFi signal booster because the router is in the house and the freezers are in my shop next to the house. I found out I also needed to put the sensor right next to the edge where the door seal is and I need to be hooked up to a WiFi hotspot to get the readings so if I’m away from home at a motel I need to be hooked up to their WiFi.     The sensors need to be as close to the bottom as possible. Every freezer failure I've ever had began thawing at the bottom. Stuff down there will be rotten, while there will be ice along the top front edge.
