I just finished putting dirt on my habitat base and I want to use a matte spray to seal it. When sprayed on the dirt it looks fine until it dries and then it turns grayish white. It also does this on driftwood even though it is completely dry. I am using Krylon Matte Finish Spray. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks.

Could be. It says on the can to use in low humidity but doesn't have a range. I will try it in an area with lower humidity and see if I have the same problem. Thank you.

Hit it with hot hair dryer
Hot and heat the spots after your thick top coat
    It will kill all air
And it it’s humid this will pull out also

put one tube of clear acrylic latex caulk in a one gallon pump sprayer filled with water and seal your habitat with that. Let it dry and apply 2-3 coats, dries clear matte
