The number on mine is 717-762-1103. I think Gary has since sold the rights to another party. Or shoot me a text and I'll send a pic, it would'nt be hard to make. Mine came from his brother who worked with me briefly. 301-302-9741

It’s a bench mounted tool that you operate with your foot for opening an ear. I never saw any advantage it would have for ear opening over my 40 year old Jonas Brothers ear pliers.

When you get good with one you can turn an ear in less than a minute. They are great especially for bears ,deer, moose ,elk and other big eared animals. Right now we are fleshing 6-8 capes a day . The old jonas pliers are in the drawer. I need another one to replace this one because I have about worn this one out .

I do 2 every morning with my Jonas openers, 100 mornings a year! Mt hands won't let me do over 3 per day, and it's not from ear opening, it's from repetitive scalpel fleshing on the lips, nose, eyes, and ear butts.

  13. My wife and I turn hundreds of ears a year and have for years. Her hands hurt her bad enough from all the detailed scalpel work from turning the eyes lips and nose. By the end of the day when she has to turn the ears of a big old buck with split up ears I see her struggle.(she is a tiny little thing) I have been trying all year to get her a ear wizard with no success. I have called and text both numbers that were posted with no response. If anyone has another contact number it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Joey for being so kind and helpful to others on hear it’s very admirable!

You may have to build one yourself.

Looks like I'm going to have to keep using these old hands.

  18. It’s not a ear wizard but, I u bolted a pair of ear pliers to one of my stands and it made life much easier. It took away all the struggle of trying to squeeze the pliers down or smash them into your thigh after your tired. You can lean on them or push down and they open right up! My wife is barely 100 pounds and she is now able to open ears with ease. It really helped speed up production for sure and made our hands not hurt near as much a win all the way around. A simple but great addition to our shop!

Very cool , great idea . But I have to ask , aren’t you worried bout blowing ears open , heck I worry bout it doing it by hand , you know, those ears that are tick bite bad or open so easy you just pop them at the seam . Just wondering as I really like the concept. Thanks
