Eppley Tru Eyes

    Anyone know where I can get some. OTS wont even take backorders. I guess they only have 1 person making them.
    I got some payer med and dont like them. What;s a comparable eye to tru eyes? Or what deer eye do you like?

    I feel your pain. I went with payer eyes once never again! Tohican med IQ are close but they set in the socket a little deep.

    I use and like the Joe Meder eyes in medium brown with the white banding from McKenzie

    I use Joe Meder Liquid Lens. I've contacted Ohio Taxidermy Supply on different occasions, and they are always having some kind of problem. I like their forms, but I think their business is slowly going down the crapper. I was on their website the other day and it was advertising women's shoes for sale with their logo on the site. If they can't get a good website up and running, and online ordering made easy, they will never be able to compete with other suppliers.

    Headquarters sell that eye but could be back ordered also .

    Yeah they took my number down if they ever get any. I got the Meder liquid lens today they are really nice. Thanks everyone!

    I purchased every set of “seconds” Rudy had at an NTA convention once for $3 per pair. He pointed out the flaws, which nobody else would know but him. They are a great eye! I used every one of them!

    Joey, Im like you. ButI bought a couple thousand pairs of the seconds a few years ago. And you are right, unless you know what you are looking for, most wont know why they are seconds. Sure glad I bought them !

    Good luck finding any eyes listed on this thread. Tohickon can't get raw materials, tru eyes have thousands and thousands on back order, meder liquid lens are back order. I feel sorry for you depending on taxidermy as your sole income. You better start stock up if you can find any! Gonna be like the toilet paper crisis

    FYI I just got 3 pair of Meder Liquid Lens eyes from Mckenzie last week 32mm Medium Brown

    They're out of stock also, and no idea when they will be available, even though they charge me for them.

    What's up with mckenzie?? Can't get thru.. had eyes comming from n.c. should have been here 3 days ago?? Wet tanned hide wrapped in a wet towel in the fridge waiting!! Shortage on eyes and workers now?? Wtf?!

    The eyes I received I was told came out of Idaho I told them if that's where they are that's where they are and I need them. Got'm with in a few days. I have 3 more capes coming from the tannery now ya'll got me nervous . . . LOL

    My holdup was 2 6900 deer forms. I asked if they were going to hold the rest of the order till they come in so I don't loose the other items. They said no, but it will show removed from the stock. This is not giving me a warm fuzzy, that's for sure. I generally try to have the deer I take in done by the end of April.
