Mountable Possum Pelt Needed

Are you looking for one that is already tanned? I can may have one or two in my freezer.

 

I don't have any that are tanned...the ones i do have are frozen green. I do have one that I can salt and dry, but you'll have to have it tanned or preserve it in shop. Or I can reach out to you during trapping season, i usually trap 5 or 6 a season.

 

Let me know how you plan on mounting it, that will determine the incision I use to skin it. Since I'd be skinning it, I would automatically turn the lips, and nose. I don't turn ears on Opossum, I just card them. So how does $50+shipping be? I would prefer to ship it to you, that way nothing can get lost in transition.

 

Yes..I can take cards, so I will dorsal cut it from the neck to the base of the tail. that way the belly is all in tact. I will pull it out of the freezer today, once it its thawed out...I will skin, flesh and turn everything and salt. Once its ready to ship I will reach out and let you know and will email you an invoice that you can pay by card. How does that sound?

 

Just wanted to give you an update. I pulled out the Opossum and have it skinned, turned and salted...just waiting for it to dry out. may need another few days to dry enough to ship. Also this specimen was a female, so there will be a hole in the belly, where her pouch was. This would have to be sewn after its tanned. If you prefer a male...I do have a big male in the freezer that I would be willing to part with as well. Just let me know and I'll go from there. If there are any other animals your looking for such as fox or raccoon let me know, I have several that would make good mounts as well.

 

I sell who carcass skins all of the time. Can get you a lot of different things (possums included).
