I use Kt and 5 gal buckets. If you are worried about time it takes to do em one at a time get 5 buckets lable them mon- fri split and turn and rough flesh every day and place in the tan for a whole week. The next monday pull monday's hide out wash and rinse per instructions while it's dripping dry for a couple hrs split and turn and rough flesh another and put it in a new batch on mondays bucket. Once you are done with that the one you pulled out should be ready to shave sew and mount. Use this method and you can put out 5 deer a week and still have saturday and sunday off.

you thank two deer capes would be ok? and what kind of container do you use

  7. I do 2-3 together with no problems. I use a 30gl rubbermaid garbage can, mix per directions to each gallon of water used and put them in. I make sure to lift each hide out daily and return, don't stir!

Hey dsbragg why can't you stir the krowtann pulling it out on a daily basis seems to disturb it anyway? what does that do ?

  10. It is just to make sure there is no air caught in the hide and to make sure the skin doesn't have folds that can keep the krowtann from soaking in properly. I have had this happen to me from not lifting them out, you stand the chance of slipping if you don't sooner or later.
