Hey everyone, I've got a young buck I've been trying to degrease for a month or so. On the top of the skull cap there's dark spots. I think I've read on here it's grease, but I can't get it out. I've been using ammonia and dawn with an aqua. heater. Should I try some other chemicals? Thanks for the help.

Is it yellowed or purple/black colored? Try letting it dry for a couple days and then drop it in some BO or other strong peroxide. It may just be enough to break down that last little bit and get it nice and white.

yellowish should be okay. let it dry really goor for 2 days and then put in BO. Should be okay.

If it is purplish, or dark blue, it is still grease.

Bulldog, is the "yellowish color" not grease too? Maybe that's my problem on the skull I posted about this morning. WHat is the yellow tint? I have been using 3% perixode, maybe I need to go to 27% on this particular skull?

I cant get the "yellowish color" to go away.

You need to get some strong 27% peroxide. The baquacil oxidizer will still degrease to an extent while making it bright as well!

I will try that this weekend and let it sit in 27% for a couple of days, then sunshine for a week, if it the sun will shine that long... lol

    thanks!
