The best way is to use Sawdust to fill it with, wet the sawdust and pack it tight as you will also have a piece of wood to staple the skin...

Hot glue is really good, you can also paint the hot glue,light blue/green, before you pour your resin..Rick
Mix up some white elmers glue and water 50/50.. put one coat and let dry and then another..Done..Rick.
