Great fish ! I’ve been out of the loop for a while, but I’ve been working hard all week on a bunch of projects.
Here’s a 25” seatrout replica with my “Dave Smith” inspired back ground.
Blank came from Capt. Bruce Foster.

Hopefully I will start to contribute more to this forum , like I used to.

Hello everybody, nice work again this week.
I really like those salmon from Travis. That halibut fin is also nice. I like that he chooses the belly side as the show side. This mount remembered me of a customer that came in last year: He went to iceland and caught a halibut of 240cm length and a weight of 175kg which makes it the second biggest fish of that species ever caught with rod and reel in Europe. Although I did not finish it this week, I want to share those pictures with you. The mount itself is not spectacular, but that fish was: it had eyes like baseballs and those jaws looked almost sharky. I think I will never again get something big like this. Only the head weighted over 50 pounds!

I hope I will post something new soon. Getting ready to move my new home with a new shop which keeps me busy.

    Greetings from Germany

Here are a couple of fish I did quite a while back. I did not have a digital back then so these were scanned in.
These were mounted doing the half cast method/fish fill.

Lion heart great wall eye and also much praise to your base work!

Heres a surgeon I did this week called a Pualu for a customer who caught it on an island across from the State from me in Kauai

  18. Good start to TWIFP thread !
Mike - I like your Sea Trout with painted background ! Very well done !
Layne - I don't know much about fish from Hawaii, but your Pualu looks great ! Very nice paint detail !

Since there are a few Bluegill posted I will add my own, Custom Reproduction, which I finished recently...Painted on the colorful side as my customers seem to prefer.
  19. And a closer view... ;)

Becky P One must believe the glass is half full.

Y'all don't laugh too hard. I don't do many fish, but I'm trying, maybe someday I'll do a decent fish.
