The Week in Fish Pictures~ Year 2# Week#50

Wow, great variety and some wonderfully outstanding work this week, guys!

Here is a skin mount 60+ lb ocean-caught Chinook Salmon with a cast head and cast fins. My client needed a base with a smaller footprint to fit a triangular area in a corner where it will sit, hence the shape of the base.

This is a Arp female Brown. My brothers new girl friend caught this in a lake in Wyoming. This is her first fish and her first on a fly rod.

Jimmy is that a snook your holding up in your avatar ? if so have you ever skin mounted any, I catch them in florida and would like to do a skin mount.

 

Ya, its a 36"er. Caught in the Sebastian River Inlet, FL. You could skinmount them, but cast the head and fins for best results.

 

OK thanks, I also fish the Sebastion Inlet from Feb. to May.

 

I had a weekend class a couple days ago with John Dittmer of Missouri. I painted these fish as demos.


The largemouth was an in house replica I molded about a year ago. It measured 22x18.





I also painted a skin mount brown trout





Johnny it was great having you in the shop and I am anxious to see your work at the WTC
