    Hello everybody,
after 3 weeks of working at my new house and building my new shop I'm finally going back to fishes. So many beautiful pieces the last 3 weeks! So here is my first mount out of the new shop: a little 25" northern pike female that I caught with a 6 class fly rod at the coast of Sweden this spring. It had the most brilliant colors that I have ever seen on a pike. So there is a lot of iridescent scale tipping in this mount. Unfortunately the photo doesn't show a lot of that. Custom carved body, real fins and head.
    Everybody have a good week.

    Greetings from Germany

    Oliver

  5. Hard to follow the first two but here is my first attempt at a brown. A customers skin mount.
as always a great start to the week and last week fish were fantastic great job everyone. Curtis

  6. Trashfish

Trashfish It's not easy being me!!

Friday is one of those days I just love. It's almost the weekend and those new fish pictures are being posted. Last week was a super week full of many talented artist's work. I'm starting to get the Deer in daily so the fish work is put on hold. But, this week I have another Panfish. This Warmouth Bass was a pet of mine for over 2 years, I believe He died of old age. He is 9 1/2" which is big for a Warmouth. I experimented a bit with several different and new ideas. Pressure, Vacuum,Latex,Powders, and Water Colors to name a few. About 15 years ago a great Fish Taxidermist had told me," your will never improve if you don't experiment a few days a month" That great Taxidermist is Randy Desroumea! A few hours away from the everyday grind is refreshing.

Trashfish, super cool idea to get this mount aranged. I really like it. It´s more like a little story than a mount. ccook63, my first attempts were not even close to your brown trout. Nice job. What about the lateral line breaking up at the anal fin? I´ve never seen that, interesting.

    Outstanding fish this week!
Trashfish you nailed that warmouth. Beautiful. I myself have one as a pet in my fish tank and am planning to mold it as soon as it dies ( of natural causes of course).
For my contribution this week, I was final able to make a male California Sheephead . Ever since I got into fish mounts, this is one of those fish I always wanted to do. I have to thank my friend Jeff Soto for his great reference pictures .
