Buck w/ doe mount?

Discussion in 'Deer and Gameheads' started by Mthunter, Oct 27, 2008.

  1. Does anyone out there have any examples of both of these mounted together in a scene or a unique wall mount?

  4. Here's a piece I mounted for competition several years ago. (The deer hide was not a part of the original show piece.)
The piece is called "Power and Grace"

Those are beautiful deer, Eddie. Are those Mears forms?

  6. Yes, they are Ben's. I altered both forms though. The buck form has about two inches of length added and the head is turned more. The doe has a slight open mouth with the teeth showing a little. The habitat has a "Scultptall" sparrow hidden in the corn. I will try to find the pictures of the form alteration I did and maybe post them later. The piece has been in my living room for 9 years now and has survived three grandchildren!

  7. I also forgot to mention that the doe was converted from a standard form to a pedestal.

  10. Here is one...

  11. I had to move some of the corn husk around to take this shot..but here it is.
The sparrow was actually hard to find along with about 6 or 8 ladybugs!
One judge didn't even see it!
