Awsome stuff! UFD, that bass is beautiful!
skin mount bass repaint, first fish i ever did 5 years ago, trying some new mediums and dont wanna "experiment" with customer stuff ;D
I can't take credit for this picture, 8 months after I made a fool of myself I'm still getting picked on. Enjoy--- all you fishheads!!
And a big thanks to RW for sending Glen this picture. You know pay backs are Hell. Ha, Ha
Terry I only helped with part of the picture, Glenn had created the fish with legs and no head and a certain image came into mind.
It allmost looks like your dancing to Ride Sally Ride, I wonder if we could get some music to go along with this?
here is a reproduction rainbow blank bought from Josh Knuth. recently painted with some of the new mediums i have been "trying out"
very coool Russ.
here is my son Cade Pendergraft and his "contribution to TWIF with Jimmy, ,its the first thing he ever has used an airbrush and powders on.
and a close up of the head.
I would like to thank Jimmy again for giving my son the opportunity to get into this , i have tried in the past and can show other people how to do things in this trade, but my own son is a tough one for me to get thru to, we are casting a bass my son caught tonight and he will be painting it for his very own first competition peice.
It looks to me Russ like he is going to be hooked, sorry about the pun, nice job on painting the bass head Cade. rw
dang Russ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,THERES NO DENYING HIM!!!!!!!ROFLMAO
thanks guys, when i showed him HE was on taxinet, he blushed, LOL but he is "hooked" on competing, at the last missouri show when we met up with Jimmy and Cole, he bought a base at the auction and is looking forward to his first comp. peice.
here is the last pics from me for now, a skin mount rainbow 360 painted with the new mediums i have been learning on.
I always wonder what happens to these mounts after they leave my dingy garage.......well.... My friend from NY, sent me pictures yesterday of a dolphin mount i did a few years ago. it's at a museum in Long Island ( the Riverhead foundation), They used it as a prop in a dolphin harness.
Obviously you totaly ignored that sign, but thanks Peter Park for the great photos!

Not a fish, but its fish related, this is a few other things we tried for the first time, My 11 year old son and i molded these fins for a 16 inch kentucky bass we will be molding together which is also a first. Included in this picture is the first fish eye i have ever painted in my life. and i have to say i like it, i will be doing it alot more often, as i have to agree you get a much better custom look by doing so. Thanks for letting me share this week, its been a long time since i have been this excited about fish again. Russ
Seriously though- how incriminating is that photo of me? hahaha
I have a video to send you too.
