Thanks guys. Inspiring work again from u fish guys. That carp is amazing looks like it could swim away. Like the natural orange hues that u brought into the scales.
  2. I am glad I don't have any fish to post this week. pretty hard to follow all the great work already posted and it is only the second day. Great job everyone

Mayhem, That might be the best Pinfish I've ever seen. Nice work.
  12. kd70chev,
Thank you for your comment !
I start out with white primer. I will also white the leading edges of the lower fins at the same time. Then I begin to create the base coat on the sides and back using green, gold, hint of blue, black shade etc.
  13. Wow Mike that pinfish is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By far the best I've ever seen. And at 14" thats huge too. You sure made an Archie blank look great. ;D

Wow, I agree, that Pinfish is very well done. All the fish this week are nice. Travis definitely has the Mahi figured out. I love the presentaion of Chad's Brown. Awesome! Almost hate to post my Brown. AA- the Carp is way cool! I also really like Tom's Walleye, DOndi's Brook andrp's Tiger. al- the crappie are very nice. The driftwood piece is excellent!

This week I have a 26.5" Brown Trout. My custom mold and cast. The next week I have to switch to warm water fish, so I will need to adjust after doing mostly trout this summer.

    Great fish everyone!!

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. Man, there's some nice fish this week. Love the pinfish and every trout posted, wish I could get one to look half as good as the ones on here. And Travis, if I didn't know better, I'd think thats a live mahi you're holding. I like seeing RP's contributions each week, wish we had some of those types of fish up here in Iowa. Love the carp too, catch a lot of them here, usually when Im tryin for something though, I've got one in the freezer I'm gonna try molding one of these days. Excellent job everyone.
  16. nothing big this week, got a shadow box to post. Has 3 panfish so I guess it counts. The reels are antiques, the newest one is a Shakespere 1950. the lures themselves are about the same age. Fun project, just slowed down the shop for a while.

Great job on the Dorado, Travis! That's a couple beautiful Browns, Chad and Rande. Rich, the Carp is a pleasure to look at. I really like the Snook and the Pinfish, too.

Here's another Steelhead for this week that is a 36" skin mount...

...Oh, and Happy Veteran's Day to all of the Veterans - thank you for your sacrifices that continue to pave the road of freedom that allows me to continue to do fish taxidermy in this great country of ours!
