Late January (yesterday) rainbow trout. We have a stilling pond below a dam that has been off limits to fishing since 2001, following the attack on the twin towers. You probably alll have a similar situation in your area. Well, through public meetings and a phone campaign, the Bureau of Reclamation reopened the area last Friday. I received the email at a little after noon, and I was out there, fishing by 1PM. There are northern pike, walleye, lake whitefish, rainbow and brown trout, and smattering of other species to be had.
I have not done any mounts in a while, but I have been fishing. Here are some pics from the past few months.

Broke the line record for this hog caught on a fly rod..... ;D
My 13 year old hooked this 10 lb 25.5 inch monster and she was too much for him to bring in alone. I helped get on shore and his skin is soaking now!
That's awesome, congrats. Can't wait to see the finished mount.
Decent early spring bass. Weird saying that considering there is snow on the ground...
Nice Bass!! Not the same type of winter fishing I'm used to though.
Lake Winnipeg Walleye from last weekend
Nice Healthy Looking Fish. Congrats !
I have a tournament on the 7th. The lake is still frozen. Supposed to warm into the 40's next week. We'll be cutting it close.
Fished one last week on the Potomac. 8hrs. 0 hits. 30* at blast off. Cold long day, but some caught them. 19lbs won.
Went out this morning to a small stream and caught a good amount of browns. I only kept three and my little brother kept one but we were catching them faster than bluegill! Some of them actually kept biting my brothers weight on the line. (guess theyre still used to pellets)
Were the turkeys gobbling while you caught those fish? I used to live in Brookville.
Then you may know the Forestway Inn ? Great place to wet your whistle.
Nice Fish Ryan!
They were actually! I gave some hen calls back and got some responses but never saw them. They sounded pretty close though.
