Lifesize Mammal of the Month #9 (12/08-1/09)

    I always thought these tiny antelope look like something out of the mind of Dr. Seuss. They are so small, and delicate. You could break a leg bone with one hand ... at least that's how petite they seem.

    Notice the flexibility of the nose on this animal. There are not many that can move their "shnoz" from side to side like this, or up and down, as they are also able to do!

    The face on this doe looks a lot like Clarice, the little fawn that became Rudolph's girlfriend in the 1964 animated Christmas classic "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer".

    No matter how you look at 'em ... they're beautiful little animals! Good work on those mounts, Mikey!

  5. Ron, maybe you could market a "tail stretcher" with McKenzie and sell it to all the newbies . It could be the latest fad of the taxidermy industry. :D

    Here's a couple fawns that I got done for a friend for Xmas, well actually they are freeze dried by Galen from Edegwater Taxidermy to I just finished them up and did the habitat.
