    Hey guys
getting ready to use Krowtan for the first time and was wondering if an oil was needed after the tanning process. I have neats foot oil on hand but have never used. Will that work or should I order up some Pro-tal tanning oil from VanDykes (only stuff I have used in the past seems to work good) thanks

I should probably add that it is for whitetail mounts

Ozark Woods told me that the oil is used for flat work only.

My customers and I would tend to disagree. Keeping the hide soft helps out for stretch on a form.
