I know somebody is going to say "look through the archives" but I have and I am kinda in a hurry so please help. Iam trying to follow the directions to a T but it says to use 2.5 gallons of water. That doesnt seem like near enough solution to submerge a cape. This is just a trial run on a practice piece but it is the same size as an average cape. please help. thanks amillion

that is why it says to use a weighted milk jug to sink the skin. lift the cape out of the water every now and then and replace in a different position w/ milk jug on top. if you don't like the way it seems so crowded than increase then mixture, it can't hurt it.

Use a 5 gallon bucket and it will submerge just fine, after the tanning solution is mixed up it will not look like its nearly enough but it WILLwork.
