My first fish mounts

  3. I have not mounted any fish myself, and hope my first is that good, You body shapes and heads look good, but both seem to have a little to much silver color, especially the perch. If you find some good reference, perch have more yellow, andthe stripes are green or brown. and the crappie should have a little more green tint ( Notice TINT) Maybe try a little Shimmering Green or yellow iridescent on it . Those are just my personal opinions from reference pics I have studied.

    Both bodies are TOO long, so the correct fish shape is distorted. Paint over done on the perch and too much glare on crappie to tell.

    the most imprtant thing you can ever learn about fish in my opinion is that you do not paint a fish, you must tone it. it looks like you got a little to much on the paint the fish side. good job overall for your first you should be happy with those.
