Lifesize Mammal of the Month #10 (1/09-2/09)

    love the nose detail matt i just did a the head for a rug yesterday and was wondering is the inner detail all epoxie or was that carved into the foam before mounting

    Here's my first attempt at a rabbit.

  3. Thanks cwt, It is actually an artificial nose. I use four colors in the paint job. 1st I take some flesh and spray the entire inner nose. Then I lightly go over that with a cocoa brown. I then hit the entire nose with burnt umber and then lightly with black.

    Same process for the lower lip.

    haven't done the finish work - got a little tweaking to do here and there...as easily seen from the photos (one reason I like to take pix of unfinished mounts - before they dry)
