Best method for replacing feathers on turkey breasgt

Discussion in 'Bird Taxidermy' started by buckyb3, Feb 4, 2009.

  1. Hey I have a nice comp gobbler with a few (about 10) missing or damaged breast feathers I want to replace them with feathers from another skin. What works best. Also any ideas for healing splits in feathers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

If these feathers are all in one spot I would just cut it out & sew it up our replace with feathers & skin from another bird. If they are hit & miss you can replace with a couple of stitches & glue.

  3. I should clarify. The bird is already mounted and almost dry.
Full fan -- what kind of glue? (super glue gel?)
