sheep hide question

    just recieved a sheep hide back from the tannery. could someone give me a tip on how to get the hide white. i assumed it would have been washed from the tannery but apparently not, as it still contains some dirt.

    I assume you have a dall sheep cape. If so your tannery should have bleached it for you. I would call them and ask. Of course it may have some staining that cannot be removed as well.

    you could bleach it yourself with 40% peroxide and whitening is it really all white the dulls i have seen are somewhat yellow when killed not naturally a bright white

    I've gotten some back from the tannery that still had tons of burs, matts, ans sticks in the fur. It seems impossible to comb some of those things out.
