I have a bunch of medium firm Roma Plastilina clay. Can this be melted down over a double burner, then some sort of product (vaseline maybe), added to make it more like the medium plastilina clay?

I have never had much luck melting down the Roma Plasticines You are going to have to try a small amount to see if it will melt down. I have used Vaseline to make other types of Plastilina softer. Be careful melting it down sometimes you can end up with a block of clay that does not seem like it is melted and the inside is hot enough to give you some very BAD burns.
