Here is a Giant Rabbit , i did this week , that was a terrible job i tell you.

The ears they are so thin and huge to skin out , i made the body out of wrapped woodwool , and caved out the head from foam.

Skinned the legs out to the nail , also crappy job to do.

Well hope you like it , as you know i do a lot of PETS and i realy like dooing it

And you know that I love that you do Pets! ;D Very few taxidermists take them on.
I think it looks great, especially the body! That's the kind of rabbit bred for meat and size eh? what a big fella!!

Snowshoes are terrible. Snowhare is right on when he says they are like wet tissue paper! Make sure you are in a very calm mood when you work on rabbits. Most of all have fun!!!!

    Justin,

I Always inject them with a haevy salt solution , before i skin them out , it is very eazy that way , just inject them untill they ALMOOST explode , than whait for 10 minuttes , and skin them out

    GOOD LUCK THAN

That's a good way to do it. I will salt as I skin too. Rabbits are a great challenge.

  20. Major

Major New Mexico.....Not much different than the old one

I just mounted the only "black jackrabbit" in recorded history yesterday. It was killed on the White Sands Missile Range by the head biologist out there. I will never do another one for less than $1500!!! Took me longer to do that than a LS deer I think. Those friggin ears are bigger than those of a coues deer!! Will post a pic in a couple days.....
