Which Plaster??

    I know this has prob. been up thousands of times but which plaster should I get to make a casting of fish??

    Is there a home recipe to make any at home???

    Go to your local hobby store they will have molding plaster. It's cheap. If you want large quantities you can get it from some of the lumber yards I think it's called No. 1 plaster.

    Is dental plaster better for detail ?

    Your local lumber yard should cary plaster. I get it at Menards for $9 per 25# bag.
    Hobby stores usually cary it in smaller quantities but you'll pay more.

    I finally found a lumber yard here that knew what I was looking for. 25# for $12.00.

    Lowes and Home Depot had no clue what plaster in a powder form was. They didn't think anyone could get it. Go figure!!
