I need someones expert opinion on this. I have a full zebra salt dried from africa. Can I do this with the round knife?? I know the last one I did was for a L.S and we wet tanned it. Zebras have that rhind or cartligage down the back as most of you know. I am wondering if I can shave it good enough to be somewhat soft for a rug or throw?? Bill(rawhide) told me Sinclair told him that 40% of a zebra could not be done on round knife. I know a turner would be the ticket but I dont have one - yet! So please fire away and let me know your feelings on this. Thanks in advance for everyones opinion!!

If you do set the guards to a super thin cut and go over several times to thin it and I mean set to untra thin cut.
