What's the score game.

Discussion in 'Deer and Gameheads' started by dsbragg, May 30, 2009.

  1. No prizes, just for fun. I think its cool to see how different folks will see a deer as far as the score. I think the score is just a number, but have seen guys with a great deer, a mature deer, that will say " It only scored whatever" and seem disappointed. I like hoss deer to, and always try to take mature deer, but it doesn't have to be 170" to be a great buck. What made me post this is the customer just picked up this deer. He was pleased with the mount, but I remember when he brought it in, he almost seemed disappointed. Crazy. :-\

So what would you think this deer would gross? He dressed 195lbs.

DS, having seen these posts before, may I make a suggestion? Give the readers ONE measurement, for scale. Like a beam length, or a G-2 for example.

That being said, hell I dont agree with score while watching a guy score it! Im very opinionated as to how its scored, youd think theres only one way, but... ;D

    145 or so.

  10. The left main beam is 26". I was trying to give a little scale with the weight. This was a management buck from the ranch, he was aged at 6+. I'll let a this go for a while and let you know the score.

Bill, your right about scoring. :D You could have three different people score one, and they will most likely all be a little different. ::)
