very nice beaver i like that you made gave him the wet look..very nice job
I can't post the picture because I get a red X but I would like to thank RDA, Lord Rusty, Cattrax and anybody else that helped me with pointers and ideas for my first lifesize cougar. The customer loved it and was very happy.
I dont really like open mouth bobcats but that is what this customer wanted.
I just found this one and man, it is a mighty close match for the expression you captured! And ... I realize what all African Lion mounts are missing ... flies on their face! Enjoy!
nice find John
Must be nice to have all that free time . lol
I save just about every pic you post, always something different.
I don't know how "free" it is, LOL. There is more time these days than in the past ... arthritis will do that to a person. But, notice the time stamp. It's usually late, and most times these days I pay for it the next day. But, if you guys and gals like 'em, that's all that matters!
Here is the Cougar mount.
The pictures were so large, that I was able to simply crop the head from the main image.
Hey John, Great find. I wish I would have had that as a reference for my guy ,I like the ear position on that attitude . I wish I would have done that with mine. Someday I'd like to talk a client into letting me put some flies on a piece ;D.
I just finished a leopard and will post some pics, let me know what you think John.
A leopard we just finished
Damn Maxart, That is freaking awesome.iD TRADE MY WHOLE COLLECTION FOR THAT SUCKER.LOL. JUST AWESOME.
Thanx Brian, I have one in my collection. collection of rolled up and frozen hides :-\ I have 26 different African species collected over the last 10 years and not one, not one ! mounted...i guess what they say about the cobblers son is true.
Again thanx for your kudos...Max
Very nice looking cat! Seriously! Well groomed, with good skin placement and hide paste adhesion ... you can see muscle and tendon detail through the coat. Well done feet ... they look like cat feet ... and they are bearing the animals weight on the base you've chosen. And from what I can see in the profile there's a real nice "cat" expression to the face. Well set ears, well formed chin, and nice definition in the muzzle area allowing the nose to look plump with good definition in this detail as well ... overall a very nice, well done Cougar mount. You've caught the cat! Congratulations.
those are all good looking cats
Let's see if the pic thing is fixed yet....if not, i'll be back...LOL
