New Tree

Discussion in 'Habitat and Exhibit' started by George Dante, Jun 2, 2009.

  1. Here's a little Buttress root tree Mike just finished up for a peacock. We're building a small diorama inside a home with peafowl and thought we'd post some photos of the process. There's no top to the tree, as the branches are just flowing into the ceiling because of height restrictions. More to come later.

There's a quick detach system of PVC tubing for travel and installation.

  9. Thanks guys, appreciate the kind words.

RATTRAP, I think there are a few tutorials on this process up here somewhere. As a matter of fact I be leieve Mike had some stuff on here a while back on the process. It's really quite simple, PVC armature, foam over, polygem over that, and sculpt. Most importantly, good reference.

VERY Awesome tree, the best I have ever seen and good looking mount. I do however think the tree overpowers the mount, from these photos anyway.
