What a perfect time to get some! Respecting a form will only hold you back. Tear into it!
Check with VanDyke's. Their sale is on right now and only for a few more days.
    Good luck!

  3. Go at it , like Justin P. said , no better time then the present to get some knowledge.

Form alterations can really be fun and your possibilities are almost endless.

Good luck, post pics when done.

I agree, dig in and alter. That is the only way to learn.

I've used small McKenzie deer and changed the head out with their blacktail head. May half to shorten the legs a litttle.

Jimmy Rimrock Yeah, they come to snuff the rooster

Get your form without rods as you are going to have to alter leg length, in two places, on each leg to maintain proportion.

Consider using the majority of a shoulder form instead of just a change out head.

It will be a big undertaking but very satisfying and a ton of knowledge will be gained in the end.

Go for it and good luck.
