New weathered log sculpture

Discussion in 'Habitat and Exhibit' started by George Dante, Jul 27, 2009.

  1. Hey guys,

Here's a weathered log we just did for a client's mountain lion (another Mike Vernelson Original). The log's about 20" in diameter and maybe 5' long.

This was another good lesson in clients willing to pay for good habitats. This was a new client who came in with a cat he had mounted out west and was very unhappy with the quality of the habitat the taxidermist gave him. He was so happy to learn he could get a log done, completely artificial, and built to his specs. He probably paid more for the log we did than he did for the cat. Lesson learned: Build it of quality and they will come. Now go out and sell them people!
